"Winds in the east, mist coming in…” Ok, so I’ve only had one misty morning here recently, but the wind has picked up this past couple of days. I’m not sure I’ll see a magic nanny flying in via brolly, but the breeze is cooler and there is a change in the air...

Hannah Kate Makes reflects on her journey through 2025 as a folklore and fantasy artist and looks back on a difficult year for independent business owners.

Now I'm back from our whistlestop tour of The Balkans, I'm raring to go. Read about our final in-person event before our summer touring hiatus, plans and projects for the next three months and take a wander through my sketchbook pages over the past few weeks.

Discover the plans for Hannah Kate Makes in May, take a peek inside her sketchbook, and find out more about upcoming commission availability.

Here’s a quick sketchbook tour of my contributions so far for Mab's Drawlloween Club 2024 drawing challenge.

The idea is simple: choose a project, do it every day for 100 days, and share your process on Instagram with the hashtag #The100DayProject.
