Welcoming 2026 with Folklore and Fresh Ambitions

Snow-covered trees and bushes under a clear blue sky. Soft sunlight casts a warm glow, creating a serene winter landscape. No text visible.

As the cold, icy mornings of January settle in (I’m hoping the snow is a brief visitor only!), I find myself beginning to bubble with anticipation for what lies ahead.

Rooted in the magic of folklore, my art journey over the years has been one of discovery, community, and creative growth.

This year, I am more inspired than ever to continue sharing stories through art and deepening my connection with all of you who have helped weave the Hannah Kate Makes tapestry so far.

2026 Goals: Telling New Tales

A New Collection of Original Artwork

Storytelling through art lies at the heart of what I do. For 2026, my biggest creative ambition is to produce an entirely new collection of original pieces. Drawing from folklore, fairytales, and the quiet magic of the everyday, this collection will explore themes close to my heart – seldom-told stories, whispered legends, and the beauty found in the wild and the ordinary. I’m looking forward to sharing sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes glimpses as these works come to life!

Re-launching a Beloved Favourite

One of the most rewarding aspects of my journey has been seeing which offerings truly resonate with you. In 2026, I’m thrilled to announce that a Hannah Kate Makes favourite will be having a bit of a glow-up! Stay tuned for teasers, as I create its new story and add the finishing touches to its new look. I hope you will also find joy in this update as I can’t wait to share something special for you to add to your collections once again.

Reaching More Shops and New Faces

Community is everything, and in the spirit of sharing folklore far and wide, I plan to increase the number of shops that stock Hannah Kate Makes products. I’m eager to collaborate with independent retailers - especially those who celebrate handmade, whimsical, and story-rich goods. If you have a favourite local shop, please let me know! With your help, perhaps Hannah Kate Makes will find a home on even more shelves in 2026.

January: New Beginnings & Artistic Offerings

January is a time of wintering for me, but also of gently planning new beginnings, and this year is no exception. I will be kicking off 2026 with a fresh art drop coming to you at the end of this month. Highlights will include:

  • Letter Paper & Writing Sets: Where are my pen pal buddies at? For those who cherish the art of old-school correspondence, my new range of letter paper and writing sets will bring a touch of folklore magic to your desk. Featuring your favourite Hannah Kate Makes designs and characters, each set invites you to slow down and share your thoughts the old-fashioned way. You can expect fresh batches of sets to be released throughout the year.

  • Original Artworks: Alongside prints, several new original pieces will be available - each one-of-a-kind and crafted with care. As always, every brushstroke is infused with storytelling and each pen mark inspired by the myths that captivate me.

  • Art Prints: I know many of you love to decorate your spaces with prints that speak to your imagination and help you express your vibe. This January’s release will include both favourites and new surprises, perfect for adding a dash of folklore to your home.

Looking Forward: Sharing the Journey

As I begin my journey towards these goals and prepare for the year’s first art drop, I am so grateful for your continued support and encouragement. Your enthusiasm for folklore, your kind messages, and your love for all things handmade inspire me daily.

Here’s to a year filled with wonder, creativity, and shared stories - may 2026 bring us all a little more magic.

Stay Spooky,

HK x
