February feels like a gentle springboard, nudging me out of winter’s hush and into a more purposeful rhythm. Which is welcome as I couldn’t find that at all during January!

The fresh art drop I’d planned for the end of last month has been pushed back to allow me more time to create, and I’m happy to share that the new letter paper and writing sets, original artworks and prints will be landing later this month instead. If you’ve been waiting to add a dash of folklore to your creative space, keep an eye out for these releases in a few weeks time.

This month, I’m challenging myself to reconnect with daily art practice. Even if it’s just an hour of sketching, I want to embrace the joy of turning creative sparks into tangible art. My hope is that each day I’ll spend a little time creating or playing creatively in my sketch book and rebuild my artful momentum into a regular habit.

"January Blues" 2026.

This year as part of my creative growth I’ve decided to attempt a fresh coloured-pencil original drawing each month (although this may need to pause later during the festive rush). My aim is to learn, improve and stretch my skills.

You may already have caught a glimpse of my first piece, “January Blues”, on my socials, or if you’re subscribed to The Spooky List (sign-up form below). The next original piece will have a March theme, so expect vibrant hues and maybe a touch of springtime mischief in the details.

I’m also on the lookout for in-person events to add to my 2026 calendar. There’s something special about meeting fellow makers and art lovers face-to-face, and I’d love to bring my work into more community spaces this year. If you have any favourite markets, fairs, or creative gatherings that you’d like to see me at, let me know - I’m always eager to explore new opportunities and forge new connections. You can check out all of the events I'm currently booked in to attend on the Events Page.

Happily, my commission order book is open once again and I have a few exciting new pieces in the works for a returning client. I only have one slot remaining for March, but please get in touch if you’d like to work with me later in the Spring or through the year.

Thank you, as ever, for supporting this journey. Your enthusiasm makes these plans come alive, and I can’t wait to share all that February has in store. Here’s to colourful days, creative growth, and new adventures together.

Stay Spooky, HK x
